Monroe, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Monroe is pleased to welcome Dr. Christopher MacCausland to its team of hospitalist physicians. The specialist brings extensive clinical experience in internal medicine and quality patient care services to the Sky Valley community.

Dr. MacCausland joins EvergreenHealth Monroe hospitalists Dr. Midori Larrabee, Dr. Emmanuel Yruma and Dr. Liang Du, who together coordinate with specialists to provide general medical care for hospitalized patients, helping to guide them and their families throughout treatment.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. MacCausland to our talented team of providers,” said EvergreenHealth Monroe Chief Administrative Officer Renee Jensen. “Hospitalists play an incredibly important role in the care of patients at EvergreenHealth Monroe, providing care and serving as the contact between specialists, community-based providers, families and of course, our patients. We look forward to Dr. MacCausland’s contributions to this important service.”

Dr. MacCausland is an internal medicine specialist with clinical training in the complexities of acute and chronic illness, with a focus on identifying effective diagnosis and treatment methods for hospitalized patients. Prior to joining EvergreenHealth, Dr. MacCausland practiced at Providence Centralia Hospital, treating and diagnosing an extensive range of diseases and illnesses in adult patients.

Dr. MacCausland’s experience will be complemented by his fellow hospitalists, Drs. Larrabee, Du and Yruma, each of whom bring a wide array of clinical expertise and a patient-centered perspective to their roles at EvergreenHealth Monroe.

Dr. Larrabee was formerly hospitalist medical director at Valley General Hospital, prior to its affiliation with EvergreenHealth. She returned to EvergreenHealth Monroe in 2016 after serving as a hospitalist at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue. Dr. Larrabee uses her clinical expertise to manage and treat patients with a range of diseases and to help guide, educate and reassure patients and their families throughout their time at the hospital.

Dr. Yruma brings more than 20 years of experience working in various clinical settings, including primary care, urgent care and inpatient care. The Monroe-based hospitalist has practiced internal medicine at Cascade Valley Hospital and Swedish Edmonds, and uses a multidisciplinary approach to care, collaborating with doctors, nurses and ancillary staff to best serve patient needs.

Dr. Du began his medical career in cardiovascular surgery at the Shandong Provincial Hospital in Eastern China before moving to Seattle to focus on cardiovascular research at the University of Washington. After six years in clinical research, Dr. Du shifted his medical discipline, pursuing an internal medicine residency at Richmond University Medical Center in New York City. After completing his residency, Dr. Du has returned to the Pacific Northwest to serve as an internal medicine hospitalist.
