The Healogics Center of Excellence award recognizes top patient satisfaction and healing rates

Monroe, Wash. – For the third consecutive year, the EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing and Hyperbarics Center has earned the Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award from Healogics for its consistent high patient satisfaction and healing rates.

Healogics is the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, with a network of nearly 800 centers that are dedicated to working together to advance wound healing treatment. The organization awards the Center of Excellence distinction to organizations that achieve patient satisfaction rates higher than 92 percent and a healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 30 median days, in addition to other quality standards. Only 268 centers across the nation received this award in 2018.

“We offer some of the most advanced wound healing treatment and care available here in Monroe and this recognition for both quality and patient experience is a testament to our entire team’s patient-centered approach. This level of care and service exemplifies the commitment of our providers, staff and volunteers to deliver an exceptional experience within every aspect of care and we’re so proud to earn this accomplishment, now for the third year in a row,” said EvergreenHealth Monroe Chief Administrative Officer Renée Jensen.

According to Healogics, 6.7 million people in the U.S. were living with chronic or non-healing wounds in 2017 — wounds that are present for at least a month and haven’t responded to conventional treatments. The EvergreenHealth Monroe Wound Healing and Hyperbarics Center offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.

The Wound Center’s success is rooted in its emphasis on listening to patient feedback to continually enhance its standard of care. By maintaining open communications channels with all Wound Center patients, staff and providers cater to a diverse array of patient needs while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
In addition to hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment, the Wound Center specializes in other advanced treatments including negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological and biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies.
