Monroe, Wash. – EvergreenHealth Monroe recently announced that John Green has joined the organization as chief financial officer. Green is an experienced administrator and brings nearly 40 years of health care industry financial experience to the position.
Green comes to EvergreenHealth Monroe from St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana, where he served as vice president of finance. In his role, he oversaw all financial operations for the 123-bed hospital, 60-physician medical group, and the hospital’s foundation and joint ventures. Green also served as chief compliance officer.
“John is a savvy financial administrator who brings deep industry experience, accomplishments and skills to EvergreenHealth Monroe,” said EvergreenHealth Monroe Chief Administrative Officer, Renée Jensen. “We look forward to collaborating with him to continue developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for our rapidly growing community’s health care needs.”
Green has been recognized for many notable achievements over his career, including his recent lead role in two public bond offerings that helped finance $29.7 million for the construction of a new bed tower, and $22.1 million for a new medical office building. While at St. Peter’s, he also renegotiated insurance contracts with annual reimbursement increases in excess of $1 million, and financed the construction of a joint-venture health club, which opened in 2011.
Prior to leading finance at St. Peter’s, Green held related positions within the Presence Health system, formally Provena Health, in the Chicago, Illinois area. He has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Southern Illinois University and is a certified public accountant.
Green and his family recently relocated to the Monroe area from Helena, and he officially began his post at EvergreenHealth Monroe in mid-June.
